Sintered Ceramic Rainscreen Facades are becoming more popular in the
North American market. This sustainable, durable, large format material is
ideal for high traffic pedestrian areas where graffiti, stain, and dent
resistant panels are of top priority when selecting an envelope material to
enclose a building. This course demonstrates all the design considerations
incorporating sintered ceramic rain screens on new and existing buildings. This
course will highlight aluminum cassette frame mounting, and effectively
detailing panels on architectural drawings.
Our Presenter
Luana Buratynski is the
Technical Sales & Business Development Lead at Northern Facades (A Division
of Flynn Group of Companies). Luana works with clients across North America
providing technical solutions specialising in building envelope, exterior wall
cladding and unitised curtain walls. Luana obtained her Bachelor of Business
degree, majoring in Marketing, from Griffith University, in Queensland,
Australia. In 2017, Luana obtained her Certified Technical Representative (CTR)
designation through CSC. Luana is an active contributor to CSC and has
volunteered her time on several Board of Director roles including the Canadian
Association of Women in Construction (CAWIC) (President 2019-2023). Currently,
Luana is a Mentoring Lead for new women on the board. A member of the Board of
Directors since 2021, Luana is active with CSI Next (CSINext.org), and
currently President Elect (Commencing June 2024/2025). Luana has over 14 years
of ICI related construction experience, P3 project pursuits, construction material
sales, and architectural product promotion experience.
