How To Effectively Sell To The Design Community

Presented by: Russell Snow, CSP, CTR, BSSO

Presentation Information:

Russell Snow, CSP, CTR, BSSO Product Group Manager - W.R. Meadows. Russell develops project specifications and provides technical support on building enclosures and related products. He is a graduate of the University of Waterloo and has over 20 years of experience in the construction industry. He recently completed a Building Science Program at the University of Toronto and has attained his Building Science Specialist of Ontario designation. Russ' experience includes building envelope, concrete restoration and products used in the treatment of concrete. Russ is President of the Air Barrier Association of America and a member of ASTM E06, ASTM D08 and American Concrete Institute committees. Russ has also been involved with the CSC for many years and is currently involved nationally with the CSC Educational Maintenance Task Team, which includes Chairing the Technical Representative Course Committee.

Architects and Specification Writers are a unique breed. They encompass various levels of experience and viewpoints with limited time to produce complex specifications. However they all share a strong desire to understand the many building materials available in todays construction market. It is the Technical Representative's responsibility to assist with this requirement. But what do they really want? Information. How can a Technical Representative help? By providing that information. There are literally hundreds of Technical Representatives out there today, all with a number of different tactics on how to get specified, some are effective, and some, not so effective.

Join Russell Snow, a seasoned product representative with over 20 years experience as he shares his knowledge on how to convey the right information, ensuring no ones time is wasted.

So how can a Technical Representative provide what the Architect or Spcification Writer wants? This presentation will cover different types of sales calls and 10 Rules for Product Presentations and Meetings.
